BANKRUPTCY RELATED QUESTIONS

Unfortunately, due to economic considerations and an overwhelming number of e-mail questions, I can no longer give free consultations or free answers to e-mail questions except to those interested in retaining me to represent them in connection with a bankruptcy in California or to creditors who need representation against a debtor who filed a bankruptcy in the parts of Southern California where I practice.** (For a list of those locations, see here)

So, if you reside or have your principal assets outside of California (or in parts of California where I'm not handling cases) and have general questions or would like a consultation regarding bankruptcy, I will be happy to do so for a nominal fee, paid in advance (see below). Payments are accepted by credit card or bank deposit (see below) or by money order/cashiers check, paid in advance.

Similarly, if you live in California and have general or specific questions about a bankruptcy case you've already filed, or that someone else filed, or other related matters that you aren't considering hiring an attorney for now, I offer the same rates and options as set forth below.  If you DO decide to retain my services after I answer your questions, then any fees you pay for this consultation will be applied towards any future services for which you hire me.

(NOTE: Debtors making payments by credit card may not be able to discharge (i.e. get rid of) that particular account charge through a bankruptcy)

Please understand that any advice I may give will not be a substitute for hiring an attorney in your area and many times I will be unable to answer questions in detail if they rely on laws peculiar to your state. Since I only practice in California, I am only familiar with their local laws regarding exemptions, real estate, probate, local bankruptcy rules of procedure, etc.

What I will endeavor to do is answer your question as completely as possible, and point you in the direction that may best suit you. There are many questions that can be answered that pertain generally to bankruptcy, including the ramifications of the pending changes in the laws.

Should you still desire, I will be most happy to address your questions. The fees are as follows:

1. Questions submitted per e-mail (up to 4 separate questions): $100.00 (includes one follow up e-mail).

You can either use the PayPal buttons above (preferred) or,

Please make your payments by certified check or money order and mail to:

**You may enclose your questions with the payment, or send it separately by e-mail (be sure to include your name so I can match it up with the payment). Responses will be given by e-mail if you provide an e-mail address, or they can be made by regular mail if you provide that address.
