[If you are not seeking to hire this office for services related to possibly filing a bankruptcy case, or you are a corporation or partnership, please click here for instructions. Do not complete the 5 steps at this time. ]
For everyone else (those considering filing a bankruptcy case in California), to get started please read the information below and then simply click on each of the steps 1 through 5 below, (or to the right), and complete all the Steps and schedule your appointment. You must complete all the Steps before scheduling your appointment.
It's Simple and it's Fun! (OK, it's not really that fun, but it IS important)
Step 1: General Information
Step 2: Income Form (Submit Twice if Married)
Step 3: Expense Form (Submit Twice if married and living apart)
Step 4: Information to Have Ready to Discuss at your Appointment
Step 5: Once you have completed these steps, please go to Step 5 (or click on "Step 5" to the right) to schedule your own appointment online. You need to schedule your appointment regardless of whether you want an office or telephone consultation.Important!! If you have spam filters or blockers on your e-mail, you must add my e-mail address, bklawr@bklaw.com, as a "friend" or allowed address BEFORE you submit any of the forms. Otherwise, you will not receive the autoresponses containing instructions and other necessary information that you will need to schedule your appointment. This especially applies to COMCAST and EARTHLINK users!!
This is a secure server and all data that you submit is encrypted, confidential, and safe.
Using these online forms is the most efficient (and preferred) way to prepare for and handle your initial consultation. However, if you are unable to complete these online forms, or are simply uncomfortable doing so, please contact me to discuss alternate means which work for you.
Please Note: This is not a punishment. I understand that this is a lot of information to gather and complete. I sympathize with how invasive and burdensome this may seem and I promise to make the process as painless as I can. Congress has made eligibility for bankruptcy contingent on numerous specific factors, and there is simply no way to properly assess your options without having all the necessary information related to those factors. In truth, many clients find it very beneficial to go through this process even if they decide not to pursue bankruptcy, because it forces them to take an accurate look at their true financial picture. Please feel free to see how some of my former clients have felt about my representation over the years by clicking here.
After you complete each step, you will automatically be taken to the next page.
